His work has all originated with a conventional negative from a high-quality medium or large format film camera, but in the future may include a high quality digital camera. Beyond the negative, the switch to digital was made in the late nineties and will continue. Museum quality archival standards have always been maintained with each and every print. Art has studied with John Sexton, Dan Anderson and other contemporary masters of the medium. He has become an accomplished artist in the Ansel Adams tradition. His photographs have received many awards in competitions and fine art shows. They have appeared in a number of publications and are in private collections across the country. Art was born in Chicago and has enjoyed photography most of his life. In the mid-eighties he began to concentrate on black and white fine art and it has been his passion ever since. His main interest has always been landscapes and architecture, and, occasionally, whatever turns him on.
